This unique renovation project on a 5 storey block of flats with basement saw the conversion of the loft to add an additional 6th floor to the block which created a cozy, yet spacious 2 bedroom flat.

Loren Design Ltd were the architects involved in producing the design and floor plans for the new flat to be made in the loft space.

 

With the open plan kitchen and lounge layout, along with it being a loft conversion, it was vital to get the floor plans looked at by an approved inspector who could advise of the necessary requirements to meet building control regulations.

Assure building control were the approved inspectors used in this property renovation project. They advised that a fire suppression system would be required due to the design of the loft, open plan kitchen and lounge.

Atkins Developments Ltd were the contractors involved in making the necessary structural changes and building works to the property to prepare for the first fix stage to be complete.

 

Once the property reached the phase of completion of the first fix, an Accredited Re-seller installer of Automist, (MC Fire Protection) was scheduled to visit to provide the installation of Automist Smartscan, a water mist fire suppression system, as per the advice of the approved inspector, Assure. This fire suppression system allowed for the job to be signed off by building control and for the building works to proceed and to be in compliance.

The final finishes are added to the property interiors and were completed by TTA Properties Ltd who were responsible for the interior design finishing touches, like doors, handles, furniture and furnishings.
