Aimee Wilder

Born and raised in New York, Aimée spent her school holidays exploring the fashion showrooms where her parents both worked. From this early exposure to fashion trends and textiles, Aimée developed the foundation for her diverse interest in design and trends. She began working as a freelance graphic designer shortly after graduating from the School of The Art Institute of Chicago in 2001. Aimée has also worked as an in-house designer for several firms including Designspace, Dwell Studio, and Martha Stewart Living.

In 2008 Aimée launched her namesake brand, and began designing and manufacturing designer wallpaper. Almost immediately she began licensing her works for a wide range of products. In 2009 Vans featured three of her designs on 30 styles of shoes and fashion accessories. Collaborations include products such as iPhone covers and electronic accessories, pet products and area rugs. In 2013, Aimée began applying her designs to bespoke fabrics, printed on fine Belgian Cotton/Linen.

Aimée draws her inspiration from contemporary graphic art and the design world. Influences include typography, logo design, illustration, textiles, urban toy design, rock poster art. Aimée’s current projects include designs for home textiles and accessories, fashion and print.
